Why I started PeckaCyber
Between pursuing a PhD in cybersecurity, working in the field, and recently becoming a parent, I’ve been living on a kind of autopilot. At any given time, I’m context-switching between research, job responsibilities, and family life. Now, I want to set aside some space just for myself and that’s where this blog comes in.
Why Peckacyber?
Most of my work is invisible. It either lives in private repos, behind corporate firewalls, or buried in unpublished academic drafts. That’s not helpful to me, and it’s not helpful to the future version of me who wants to reflect, grow, and be visible to the broader cybersecurity community.
So this is my space to publish what I can share:
- Lab work and home setup experiments
- Tooling reviews and technical notes
- Reflections on my PhD journey
- Personal takes on the security industry
This blog won’t always be polished. Some posts will be raw lab notes or brain dumps. Others might be detailed guides or edited insights. The point is: I’m building in the open, even when it’s imperfect.
If you’re someone who enjoys cybersecurity — welcome! And if you're just curious about the field, I hope these write-ups show you just how amazing and dynamic this space can be.
I’ll be posting regularly, even if just in short bursts. Thanks for reading.
